Marshals are requested to support  the "Greenpower" event to be held at Aintree on Thursday Sept 16^th.  Duties will be just to keep the circuit under observation, and to call out the recovery vehicle if a car breaks down, or red flag competitors in the event of an incident. Most marshals will be able to sit in their cars (if it’s wet) or sit on a deck chair (if they bring one) to watch the action – though action is a rather loose term! Clearly, this style of marshalling will particularly suit the less active/retired marshal!

There will be a lunch break, though it won’t be very long, and whilst the organisers will arrange some food we tend to find that marshals who bring their own food are less likely to get stuck behind 250 children all ordering chips at the same time! The event is timed to finish promptly at 5pm, which is when the golf course re-opens, so the event cannot overrun.
